Torre del Chianti – Violante di Baviera

Situated on the edge of a small village in the Chianti Classico, Castellare stands majestically amid Tuscan vineyards and olive trees where time seems to stand still. Reminiscent of a medieval castle, this unique and enchanting property features guest accommodation in the tower and fortress. Both buildings have been lovingly restored to their former splendor retaining the charm of ancient buildings yet offering all the comforts of modern day conveniences. Eight suites have been created during renovations, which are used as B&B and offer all amenities such as air conditioning, Satellite-TV, DVD, telephone, safe, mini bar and you can find exclusive cosmetic products “Elisir del Chianti” in all bathrooms. Experience breathtaking views over the vineyards and the surrounding countryside. Four suites are equipped with a rare collection of antiques and historical furniture belonging to the owners. Three double bedrooms have the names of important historical personages which have slept at the property in the past: Cosimo I dei Medici, Leopoldo di Toscana and Violante di Baviera. This property is ideal for special occasions such as weddings, seminaries and for romantic escapes. A catering service is available.

THE FORTRESS
The suites are based on two levels, on the first floor there is a relaxation room, on the second floor you will find a double bedroom, bathroom and a wardrobe. They are furnished with antique furniture and works of art from local and national artists. The fortress gives hospitality to an Art foundation, a place for young talents. Inside the fortress you can even find “Il Convivio”, where organic products and vegetarian kitchen are waiting to be discovered.

THE TOWER
First floor: breakfast room with living room in an old kitchen with an ancient stone sink and fireplace dating back to the 19th century.

The price includes: breakfast, daily towel exchange, change of sheets (every 3 days).
